Who Operates DillaFish

DillaFish is operated by DillaDev. In this policy, "DillaFish," "DillaDev," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the app and the team that provides it.

DillaFish helps users identify fish, save catch history, view fishing context, check relevant regulations, participate in leaderboards or competitions, and build a personal fishing record over time.

Information We May Collect

The information DillaFish handles depends on which features you use, whether you create an account, and which permissions you grant.

• Account information, such as email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
• Fish photos or images submitted for AI-powered fish identification.
• AI identification results, species suggestions, confidence context, and related prompts or metadata.
• Catch history, fishing log data, trip notes, species records, sizes, dates, photos, and personal record details.
• Optional location data for regulation lookup, weather, tide, moon phase, maps, trip context, and catch enrichment.
• Device and app diagnostics, crash logs, analytics, performance information, and usage data used to operate and improve the app.
• Subscription or purchase status handled through Apple and the App Store where premium features are available.

How We Use Information

DillaFish uses information to provide and improve the app's core fishing features.

• Provide fish identification and related species information.
• Show fishing regulation context and location-based fishing information.
• Save catch history, personal records, FishDex progress, and fishing log entries.
• Power public leaderboards, private competitions, rankings, awards, and progress displays.
• Improve app quality, reliability, safety, performance, and feature design.
• Provide support, troubleshoot issues, prevent misuse, and protect the app and its users.

AI Processing Disclosure

DillaFish may use third-party AI providers to process fish photos, related prompts, and supporting context in order to generate fish identification results, species suggestions, summaries, or assistant responses.

Do not upload sensitive images or photos containing unrelated people, private documents, personal identifiers, or other information that is not needed for fish identification or fishing assistance.

Location Data

DillaFish uses location only when permission is granted, when you manually enter a location, or when a feature requires location context that you choose to provide.

Location may be used for local fishing regulations, weather, tide and moon information, catch maps, trip enrichment, personal analytics, and competition context.

Exact catch locations should not be publicly shown unless you explicitly choose to share them. Public and competition features are designed to avoid exposing precise private fishing spots by default.

Photos And Images

Photos and images may be used for fish identification, catch history, fishing logs, personal records, FishDex progress, and optional sharing features such as catch cards.

You control whether to submit a photo for identification and, where app features allow, whether a photo is saved, deleted, or shared outside the app.

Leaderboards And Competitions

If you participate in public or private leaderboards, DillaFish may display non-sensitive progress information such as display name, score, rank, fish size or category, species, XP, awards, and competition results.

Private competition admins may see submissions and details relevant to managing that competition. Leaderboards and competitions should not expose private trip notes or exact catch locations unless you choose to share that information through an app feature.

How Information May Be Shared

DillaFish does not sell personal information.

Information may be shared with service providers needed to operate the app, including hosting, authentication, analytics, diagnostics, AI processing, database and storage, payments, email or support, mapping, weather, tide, moon, and fishing regulation data providers.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, DillaFish, DillaDev, or the public.

Apple, Subscriptions, And In-App Purchases

DillaFish may offer subscriptions or in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. Apple processes payments through your Apple ID and handles payment information according to Apple's policies.

DillaFish may receive and store purchase or entitlement status, product identifiers, expiration dates, renewal status, and restore information needed to unlock premium features. DillaFish does not directly store full payment card details.

Data Retention

DillaFish retains information for as long as needed to provide app functionality, maintain account history, preserve fishing logs and records you choose to keep, support legal or security needs, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, or comply with applicable obligations.

Where deletion features are available, you may delete certain photos, catches, history, or account data. Some information may remain in backups, logs, legal records, or service provider systems for a limited period where permitted or required.

Your Choices

• You can deny or revoke location permission in iOS Settings.
• You can choose not to upload fish photos or provide optional fishing log details.
• You can delete photos, catch history, or logs where app features allow.
• You can request account or data deletion by contacting DillaDev.
• You can manage subscriptions through your Apple ID and App Store subscription settings.

Children's Privacy

DillaFish is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If DillaFish is used by students, schools, clubs, teams, or youth competitions, use should be supervised and authorized by the school, parent, guardian, organizer, or other responsible adult as applicable.

If you believe a child has provided personal information through DillaFish without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review the request.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information handled by DillaFish. No method of transmission, storage, or processing is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Users

DillaFish is operated from the United States. If you use the app outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other locations where DillaDev or its service providers operate.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Material updates may also be communicated through the app, website, or other appropriate channels.
